Motorcycle accident on W Bay Area Blvd in Friendswood

Friendswood Police Department investigated a motorcycle accident around noon yesterday on W. Bay Area Boulevard in Friendswood. Aerial photographs taken by Channel 11 News’ helicopter showing a collision between the motorcycle and a red-colored Ford Mustang. The motorcycle appears to have t-boned the Mustang on the driver’s side front fender. A wider camera angle of the vehicles suggests that the Mustang pulled out of a driveway and was attempting to cross the motorcycle’s lane of travel, and the motorcyclist swerved to his or her left to try and avoid the crash.

Samantha Dorsey: victim of road rage car accident that started in Wal-Mart parking lot

There was a fatal car accident yesterday on Westheimer at Stoney Brook Drive and police think the crash may have been the result of road rage. The accident happened at around 7:00 a.m. Thursday October 11th. A black-colored Acura coupe crashed into a pole causing a passenger, Samantha Dorsey, to be ejected. Witnesses told reporters for KHOU Channel 11 News that the driver and passengers in the Acura got into an argument with the driver and passengers of a yellow or gold-colored Ford Mustang after one party dinged the other party’s car door. The occupants of the Acura left the Wal-Mart parking lot and the Mustang followed, at some point swerving toward the Acura and throwing bottles at it. Houston homicide detectives are looking for the driver of the Mustang: a witness attempted CPR on Ms. Dorsey, the ejected passenger, but she died at the hospital. Channel 2’s report is here. Channel 13’s story here.

Mustang driver hits Toyota Tundra head-on

Police are investigating to determine whether drunk driving was a factor in a head-on car accident last night.  At around 11:00pm the driver of a silver-colored Ford Mustang crashed into a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot.  The driver then fled the scene of that accident, heading westbound on Beverly Hill Street when he crashed head-on into a Toyota Tundra pickup truck at the Fountainview intersection, about a mile from the scene of the accident in the parking lot. The driver of the Mustang attempted to flee but police were able to apprehend him.  Channel 2’s story says the driver of the Toyota Tundra was not seriously hurt, and the driver of the silver Mustang was taken to hospital in stable condition and was to be transported downtown for a blood draw and further questioning.

Bicyclist to hospital after hit-and-run accident with Ford Mutang

A blue Ford Mustang hit and woman bicyclist and then a building at the North Loop at North Main on Saturday night at around 1:20am. The woman was crossing the intersection on her bicycle when the Mustang struck her. Eyewitness Rick Halliburton said several drivers were waiting at the red light and was watching the woman make her way across the intersection when the Mustang began to weave through traffic and then hit her. Halliburton said the Mustang driver did not stop, the actually sped up: he tried to pass a truck on the right and hit the bicycle on the rear wheel, flipping the lady off the bike.
Several people tried to follow the Mustang after it fled but were unable to keep up. The driver eventually lost control of the Mustang and crashed into a metal building at the 8900 block of North Main at Crosstimbers, causing damage to machinery and equipment inside. The bicyclist was alert at the scene when she was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital by EMS. The accident was under investigation and police do not believe alcohol was a factor.
